This is the site of the Falkirk Wheel.
You can see the three huge concrete pillars in the background.
  This is the holding basin where the Forth and Clyde Canal joins the Falkirk Wheel.

The fourth Pillar is now being constructed.   Above the Pillars, work is well underway with the tunnel which will run underneath the Roman Wall, and join the Union Canal.

This is where the Union Canal goes underground and emerges at the Wheel.   This is the entrance to the tunnel above.

This is Lock 12 with the old Rosebank distillery on the right and Rosebank  House on the left.   Locks 13 and 14 are looking good, but still have some work to be done on them.

This is the main Bainsford to Falkirk bridge, with Lock 6 nearby. There is also a nice view of the Canal logo etched into the concrete plynth.   This is the famous Lock 16,with the Union Inn on the left.
This is where the Union Canal and the Forth and Clyde Canal originally met.
